Profile

I no longer actively play either Quake 2 or Quake 3, but here are some of my details from when I did.

Online Name

REViLLA - I found the name on an atlas - it's an island off Mexico in the Pacific Ocean. I actually did a search on Yahoo for "revilla quake" and it came up with an earthquake on the island of Revilla, hehe. Since I began using it I've discovered that Revilla is also a real South-American surname and further searches on Yahoo have shown schools and academies named after me. Nice. In theory it should be pronounced with a Spanish accent, Reveeya :). I like the name because it shortens easily to "Rev" or "Revy" and looking at it suggests a range of other words. Evil or Revel or Reveller for example :) Why the small "I"? Just for style to be honest and it's a very "quake" thing to do.

Former Aliases

The very first name I used was Anglezarke, which is a hill near where I live. About a month later, when I joined my first clan, Deadly Force, I changed my name to Phantom and kept this for a few months. Back then I aliased regularly, almost never using my name except for clan matches. Common aliases were: Revilla, Scorcha, SuperviXen, Garbage, Vow, Jaggers, Thorne and many, many, more :).

Clans

The first clan I joined was Deadly Force a month or so after going online, in October 1998. DF was cool, but we didn't make much match progress and it folded only to be reformed as Satanic Inferno in about January 1999. We made a start in Division 5 of the UKCCL but interest waned in "Si" and in July 1999 the clan folded.

Two weeks later I was very pleased (understatement) to be recruited by HooD. I played with HooD until the New Year when Quake 3 came out, and left for reasons which are explained properly in my biography.

In January 2000, the members who left HooD formed T2C. T2C only lasted about a month because people's hearts weren't in it. I explain this in my bio too.

So, after six weeks' break I returned to Quake 2 and joined top clan MKC in March 2000. I stuck with MKC through to my retirement in November 2001.

Read more about all this in my bio.
