23/02/00:
MKC Withdraws from all Q3 and UT competition [Spiritos]
MKC is no longer competing in
any Q3 or UT competition. We have submitted our withdrawal requests to both the UKCCL (for
Q3) and the WPUT (for UT). Further details can be found on the Q3 and UT sites.
This leaves MKC only playing
competitive matches in the UKCCL Q2 Bloodbath league.
21/02/00:
MKC Defaults [Spiritos]
In an uncharacteristic move,
we defaulted our Free League match against IMP tonight. Only three players turned up
(Dachande, Kaa and myself), and out of those three, two of us (Kaa and myself) shouldn't
even have been available. The game couldn't go ahead though, as Dachande couldn't connect
to the server and so the admin was forced to award a default win to IMP.
This 'event' may lead to a
review of MKC's position as regards Q3.
21/02/00:
First loss this season [Spiritos]
MKC lost their first game of
the season tonight, against TR, 54-89 on UNRDM1. This sets up a final decider between us
and SM next week....

Results (or lack of) [Spiritos]
Well, the Q2 and Q3 Free
League UKCCL league games from this Monday past were postponed because of 'upgrades' to
the servers and some sort of dodgy commericialised 'event', Valentine's day or something
they call it >;)
The Wednesday Q3 Mixed League
game was a default win in our favour, as [WW] didn't show.
19/02/00: DocGonzo returns
[Spiritos]
On a happier note, long-time
absentee, DocGonzo makes a welcome return to his MKC home. Welcome back Gonzo :)
(I'll have details on the members page once he sends 'em to me [hint]).
19/02/00: kD departs
[Spiritos]
Another casuality, is kD, who
has decided to leave MKC. Again, another member that we are sorry to see go we hope he
fares well in the future.
19/02/00: Webby [Spiritos]
I've added a few photos to the
clan gallery and done a little early 'Spring Clean' in there too. We're still missing a
few photos..c'mon guys, shouldn't we *all* look silly? ;)
Also, Kerensky's details are
now up in the members section, and I've put up some details for Caldazar, CesuR and
DocGonzo.

Schedules [Spiritos]
Please be aware that you can
(and should) view our League Schedules for Q3 and UT
on their respective websites. The Q3 schedule lists both Free League and Mixed League
games whilst the UT schedule lists all our Pool games for this first season.
13/02/00:
Q3 website makes its debut
[Spiritos]
Yes, I know, it's been a long
time coming, but it's finally here. I've added a link to the frame on the left, but just
because it's new, I'll even put in a link here for you to use (coz I'm generous like that see :)
13/02/00: Prophet departs [Spiritos]
Sad to see, but Prophet has
decided to move on. He did a great deal of work for MKC on the website, increasing the
profile of the clan on various league sites, and organising/helping out with league
matches for all games played. We wish him all the best wherever he ends up.
04/02/00: Schedule updated [Prophet]
The schedule for some forthcoming Q3
and UT matches is up in the Matches section.
01/02/00: Updated clan links [Prophet]
Some more clan links available,
specifically those clans we have to play in the new Q3 and UT leagues.
01/02/00:
WPUTL league tables available [Prophet]
This league is running a pool system
for the first season. We are in Pool 2. Tables are here.

| Jim's Q3 Visor skins are now available in the Files section :) |
| 24/01/00: |
Prophet |
| Please welcome CesuR to the clan :) Recruited by Jimbo he's an LPB and has joined us for Q3 only. You may have seen him on a Q2 server as [WDB]CesuR. Details are up in the Members section. |
| 19/01/00: Clan {CS} in website shocker! | Prophet |
| Well I didn't think they had one (a website that is) but in fact they do, at www.we0wnj00.co.uk. Should have guessed really! It's virtually content free but does reveal the member's ages ;) |
| 19/01/00: New clan links | Prophet |
| Loads of new clan links added including cAa & TR who we recently played in the Q2 Cups. Also two top notch former QW (now Q3) clans that peeps who we know have now joined. Four Kings (Atomic Jam, Vorvavoo) and Scorchio (Stormkeep). |

Prophet |
| I've been exploring Q3DM12 in order to prepare for the start of the UKCCL Q3 league next week. Discovered a couple of moves which may or may not be of use. The demos are in the Files section. |
| 18/01/00: Web site gets thorough re-vamp | Prophet |
| I just couldn't stop
myself :) What started out as a simple tidying up exercise developed into a complete
re-design. I admit that it still doesn't look like much but I've tried to make things
clear and easy to follow. Main visible changes are as follows: News page - News items will now have an icon representing the game that they refer to. Therefore you can easily pick out those items that are of interest. Members page - The summary now has three additional details. These are "Status" (Active/Inactive), "Games" (Q2, Q3 & UT represented by icons) and "Functions" (shows what jobs each person tends to do). Matches page - This replaces the old "Clan Wars" page. It is combination of a results table and a schedule. Each of the three game types is represented by an icon. Wins are shown in green and losses in red. Any demos available are attached to the end of the match in this table. Files page - As implied above this does not include match demos anymore. Just skins, maps and any non-match demos that may be of interest. Links page - This now only includes links to sites that are relevant to the games that we play. Namely leagues, player databases and other clans. If you want general news, scene etc. links these are available in a myriad of places elsewhere. The clan links have all been checked for validity and have icons following them representing the games that each clan plays. |
| 17/01/00: Web site gets logo!!!! | Prophet |
| As you may have noticed there is now a logo at the top of the page. I have no artistic ability whatsoever but managed to generate this by using cooltext.com. I'm sure someone else can come up with a better one :) |
| 17/01/00: |
Prophet |
| Well we tried :)
Unfortunately SS were just too strong and defeated us by an aggregate of 226 to 117 on dm3
& dm5. Demos available in the Results section. |
| 13/01/00: |
Prophet |
| We have reached the
final of the Free Cup by beating current UKCCL Champions {CS} in the semi-final :) Two
maps were played, dm6 and dm1. Amazingly we racked up a 73 frag advantage on dm6 which was
enough to cope with the inevitable defeat (by 32 frags) on dm1. Team was Tribal,
Moneypenny, Axe, Luprachan & Spiritos. Unfortunately the HPB team is now out of the cup after a very closely fought quarter final with PK of Division 1. There is a slew of new demos to be found in the Results section including also the Free quarter-final against [cAa] and HPB third round against [TR]. |
| 06/01/00: |
Prophet |
| Last night despite a
couple of impromptu disconnections we beat FURY by 72-23 on dm5 to go through to the third
round (last 16) of the HPB Cup. Team was Kaa, Prophet, Starkiller & Ticktoc. Jim's demo may be found in the Results section and is nothing like as boring as he said ;) |
| 23/12/99: |
Prophet |
| Last night in a game
played on a shiny new UKCCL PhonejackTM server we beat POTZW by 67-49 on dm5 to
go through to the third round (last 16) of the Free Cup. Team was Tribal, Moneypenny,
Spiritos & Prophet. Ade's demo is up in the Results section. |
| 22/12/99: |
Prophet |
| In a well-managed,
timely game last night on dm5 we beat SPAM by 84-37 to go through to the second round of
the HPB Cup. Team was Zipgun, Starkiller, Kaa & Prophet. There are two demos for your perusal in the Results section. One from myself (yes I finally managed to do one), the other from Jimbo. |
| 15/12/99: |
Prophet |
| In a farcical game (delayed 50 minutes) last night on dm2 we managed to beat YD by 84-65 to go through to the second round of the Free Cup. Team was Moneypenny, Sativa, Prophet and Dach. |
WPDML season ends with win and 3rd
place in Div 1. Posted by [ Prophet ] 30/11/99.
Victory on Sunday night against Ace on dm8 by 83
frags to 49 in the last game of the WPDML season. Team was Dachande, Axe, Sativa and
(ahem) Diesel. Dach's demo is up in the Files section. As a result we have finished third
in the league. Although we were tied on points with Rv(1) and CoG(2) they both had far
greater frag differences.
Both UKCCL and WPDML seasons are now over but the UKCCL cups start next Monday 6th Dec!
KC defeated in WPDML. Posted
by [ Prophet
] 22/11/99.
Last night we beat KC by 74 frags to 59 in Div. 1 of
the WPDML on dm2. The team was Dachande, Spiritos, Starkiller and myself (on cratering
down the BFG lift duty). Excellent RL control by Dach (see demo in Files section) and
winning the majority of quads ensured the victory.
The last game of the season is next Sunday against [ACE] on dm8.
Another win in UKCCL. Posted
by [ Prophet ] 17/11/99.
Victory in the UKCCL Div 4 title race came a step
closer last night with a win over the Brotherhood of Darkness (BoD) by 108 frags to 32.
Not the best of perfomances on what is probably our least good map teamplay wise but still
enough :)
Well played to the team ( they know who they are ;) ). Unfortunately the demos that were
made are all b0rked for some reason.
Next week is [MPDv2] on dm2.
Mr Fixit (again). Posted by
[ Spiritos ] 16/11/99.
Right, don't anyone ever say I'm not good to you
lot, I've 'fixed' the messageboard now :) (That should keep all 3 of you who use it happy
>;)
(If anyone's genuinely interested in what happened to it, then I suggest you have a look
at the Gamers Extreme site. A lot seems to be
happening there in conjunction with the 'all-new' Gamers.com
site).
Lup's details on the webby. Posted by [ Spiritos ] 14/11/99.
Luprachan's details are now
uploaded and viewable through the members page (thx for sending them in m8). We're still
missing a few though...do you really want me to send out an
email to those of you who have yet to send in your details? >;)
MKC stake claim to UKCCL Div
4d. Posted by [ Prophet ] 10/11/99.
In a hectic match on trdm06 last night we beat FMC,
the only other so far unbeaten clan in the division, by a margin of 123-70. Well played
Moneypenny, Dachande, Starkiller & Kaa!
Watching Moneypenny's demo (now up in the Files area) this really was a chaosfest with
constant frantic battles around the quad "locker" area. Interesting to see that
the quad did not really dominate. On numerous occasions FMC got it only to be instantly
pulverised by a MKC player.
Looking at the remaining fixtures in UKCCL we have BoD, MPDv2 and a default to come.
Looking good!
More members details. Posted
by [ Spiritos ] 7/11/99.
I've added more of the individual members details
(to the members page, surprisingly enough). Some of these are from the old site (Blaze
sent them to me today), with a few newly scribed and mailed to me (thanks go to those
peeps...you know who you are :). For those who haven't sent anything in yet, please give
it a go, we've nearly got everyone in the Clan listed now.
Recent results. Posted by [ Prophet ] 06/11/99.
My first real posting - cool :)
I've updated the Clan Wars page with all results up to now. Lots of "one-sided
drubbings" as Zip would say. Long may this continue!
There are two new demos on the Files page (from Dave - excellent rails m8!). Speaking of
which can I request that whoever makes a demo in a league match then emails it to me so
that I can put it up on here for all to see.
Send 'em in!
*Coughindividualplayersdetailshavebeenrestoredcough*.
Posted by [ Blaze ] 6/11/99.
Oi I put them up, just cause I actually f*cked up
the members page and just left it for you to fix doesn't mean f*ck all =). Nice job m8,
couldn't see what I'd done wrong =(
Links restored. Posted by [ Spiritos ] 6/11/99.
The 'restoration' of the webby goes on. I've sorted
out the members page now, all the links to individual players details have been restored
(might keep W/E happy, Ruven's link to Stayne's House of
Demos is back up...oh, look, I've gone and linked it here anway ;) Hopefully we'll
have more of the clans players' details appearing shortly...
Just a quick test ...
Posted by [ Prophet ] 3/11/99.
Hi. This is a just a quick test to see if I can
update successfully and without buggering the format up.
So, thought you 'played a
blinder' in that last match then did you? Posted by [ Spiritos
] 3/11/99.
Well, now you're going to find out. Prophet
is now onboard the webby and no doubt, his match reports and result updates will be
eagerly anticipated (unless you're me that is: prolly get lots of rhetorical questions
like: "What moron saw fit to give Spiritos a Railgun??!!! He can't even handle a
mouse!!" etc, etc ;). Anyway, welcome to the 'web-staff' Prophet, just one piece
of advice: it doesn't matter what you say here......you will be
persecuted for it by the rest of the clan for the rest of your life ;).
Not dead yet =). Posted by [ Blaze ] 30/10/99.
Just links to some demos of Sativa I said I'd
put up for him. Not looked at them yet but he assures me they're of a very high
standard.

[MKC]Sativa vs CoG>Unreal (Take 2).

Getting there :). Posted by
[ Spiritos ] 29/10/99.
Right, the gallery should now be back-up-and-running
(have a sick-bag handy first mind.....of course I'm talking about all the 'food' being
consumed that's all >;)
Before everyone flames me along the lines of "You took all that time JUST to sort
out the Gallery...", I'll say..."Yes", but I've sorted a fair amount
of things in the background that you'll never see (plenty of html 'tweaks' and there's
more to come).
Results-wise, the webby is inevitably going to fall behind a little, but Prophet
has kindly volunteered his journalistic skills on that front, so expect some reports
soon...
Sad day for MKC. Posted by [
Spiritos ].
This is just a minor (and hurried) update to the
clan webby to ensure that things are working alright on the ftp side etc. This is, as most
people in the clan will know, due to the departure of Blaze to
pastures new. More will follow later, as well as a reorganisation of this site's admin I
would think.
New design! Posted by [ Blaze ].
I've redesigned the website for it's
3rd incarnation, I'd like to think that it's improved everytime. Hopefully the other
members will get off their arses and update this one =).
Even more matches! Posted by
[ Blaze ].
The matches seem to keep coming this week with us
playing 2 playoff matches against [YD], [RV] and a match against [NME]. The first match was against [YD] and was on (Q2DM6) - Lava Tomb
and (Q2DM8) Warehouse. The first map finished 88-41 and the second was 65-43 to us
again. That meant we went into round 3 of the HPW cup to face [NME] on the same maps later that
night. The first match was a comfortable win after gaining control of the Power shield and
BFG, final score 76-30 to [NME].
The second match though was a real nail biter with us taking an early lead through some
quad control from Tribal. However [NME] being the extremely good clan they are (current UKCCL champs), they came right back and
held a steady lead until the last 5 minutes when we had a burst and suddenly found
ourselves leading by around 10 with a few minutes left. Frantic events in the last few
min's saw Phreaky get a triple BFG kill and over kills by them saw us just win by 3
frags. 58-55 was the final score this meant we were out of the HPW cup by 33 frags =(.
LPB Cup
progress continues. Posted by [ Blaze ].
The next match was another playoff match against [RV], this time for a place in the
quarter final's of the LPB cup against <HooD>. As everyone knows [RV] are a very good clan (current wpdml and wp open champs) so this
was going to be a very tough match as we hadn't won them for a while. The first match was
on (Q2DM6) - Lava Tomb and we felt quite confident of a victory on our choice of map. Both
teams started fairly quiet with us just holding onto a narrow lead for about 10 min's,
then we managed to lock down all areas off the map and wherever they went we had someone
there tooled up with weapons and armour. This gave us a great platform to pull away from
them which we did, they final score being 134-25. The second match was on (Q2DM5) - The
Pits and this is when the match went sour =(. During the first and the second game both
teams were suffering PJ's from playing on a pretty abysmal server and with 3 min's left [RV] decided they'd had enough and
they left the server. All except for Puz who deserves a lot of respect for not
leaving until the admin stopped the match.
On to other thing's, i've also updated the gallery with Kaa, and kD's pictures =), Kaa and ZipGuns members profiles have been added and all the demo's of the above games are on the results page (one's i've managed to get hold of that is). Also on a sad note Axe as decided to leave the clan for some reason of which we don't yet know =(, If you read this m8 can you get in touch please.
Another LPB cup
victory. Posted by [ Blaze ].
Yay! Another cup match and another victory for us
this time against those Defenders
of sherwood. Full credit to [DS]
who played both games with one HPW pinging in the 300's and they never moaned once. [MKC]
were quick of the mark though in both games and managed to pull away a lead that [DS] were never going to catch up
with. First game was on The Frag Pipe (Q2DM3) and the score was 117-53 to us, and the
second game was played on The Warehouse (Q2DM8) and the score was 87-44 to us again,
giving us an 107 frag aggregate win. I had intended of putting up my pov demo for the
first game but the damn thing is corrupt but here's
a demo of the second game from Tribal's pov.
New section
unveiled. Posted by [ Blaze ].
Added a new section to the site today titled
"Gallery", in here is all pictures of [MKC]'ers. So far in there is Tribal,
Ruven, Evil Santa, Sativa, WorldEater, Dachande and Moneypenny.
Be Warned though, it's not a pretty site =) (well except for the last one =o]).
HPW's follow
suit. Posted by [ Blaze ].
The HPW's followed in the footsteps of the LPB's
last night by marching into the 3rd round of the UKCCL Cup after two great games in the Lava Tomb (Q2DM6) against the
mighty <HooD>'s. The
first game was very close with the <HooD>'s just pipping us by a margin of about 5 I believe
(haven't got final score yet). The second game though went the way of us by a score of
76-46 meaning we go through on aggregate. The next cup game now is for the LPB's against [DS] on September 20th, should
make a cracking game. Chasecam demo of the second game can be found here.
New member :).
Posted by [ Blaze ].
Everyone say hello to KD :). Just as one old
member leaves :(, one of the old school [MKC]'ers decides it's time for him to get
back into clanning. KD was one of the first members of [MKC] and he's going
to be back kicking clan butt in no time :p
Other news is [MKC]'s entrance into the OGL. I'm not sure what this league is going to be like but it's only going to be for the fun of playing against some Euro clans and hopefully learning some new stuff off of them.
Ticktoc resigns
:(. Posted by [ Blaze ].
Bad news today as Ticktoc resigned due to
real life commitments. This chappie was a really cool person with an awesome railgun on a
33.6k modem! Ticktoc had been in [MKC] for a long time and his humour will
definitely be missed around the clan. On behalf of [MKC] we wish you all the best
mate.
Onto UKCCL cup matters now. We've made it through to the third round of the free cup after a default win over bYc which was a shame as no-one likes to see a clan split up, even if it was just the DM side of bYc. And in the HPW cup we've been drawn against the HooDs which should be fun :p.
Things to come.
Posted by [ Blaze ].
I've updated all parts of the site what needed
updating like results etc, added a few demos blah blah you get the picture. The site will
be moving to www.clanmkc.org soon,
just waiting for clearance from some American agency type thingy. We'll also have our own
server as of next week which is going to rock, and coming soon is the London piss up which
is going to be a wicked experience :p
An update at
last. Posted by [ Blaze ].
I had a bit of spare time on me hands this weekend
so I've changed the colour scheme of the site, hope you like it, if not tough s**t :p
