FARK - You know what it's like on the net sometimes. There are millions of sites but you have absolutely no idea where to go. Well this is a great site that looks through net content every single day and lists interesting pages for you to check out. Interesting articles, news stories - serious and crazy, soft porn, it's all there. It's a great springboard site.

Deviant Art - A superb digital art site which provides some truly rich pickings if you're looking for desktops. The only problem is the sheer number of images, which run into the thousands!

Online Scam - There's lots of cool content on this site, but what always draws me back to it is the hilarious caption competition. Viewers are invited to update a comment to a weird/amusing picture and the efforts are usually pretty good. There's quite a back-catalogue of caption pictures now so take a look.

Int13h - This site isn't the easiest to describe as it seems to pluck cool articles from all over the web with no recurring theme (except that they're interesting/cool). However, the team who run the site are gamers and many sites they feature are gaming-related. There are also some well-written articles and columns including some clever articles on topics as diverse as a model for perpetual energy involving a cat and a piece of toast ;) to random acts of senseless violence. Very bizarre but cool site with an individual look.

Scene.org - 3D demos really show off your expensive hardware and are fantastically entertaining to watch. This site is one of the central sites for the "scene" and always has loads of demos available from all the "parties" that go on around the world. There are so many demos it can be daunting but they've now put up a recommended section to point you in the right direction.

How Stuff Works - I find this site really interesting to browse every now and again. It's a mine of interesting information on everything from the weather, to how to pick locks. Cool site :).

EndEffect - Before DeviantArt this was the net's best source of desktop wallpaper images. The quality is still astounding and the range of image sizes available is wide enough for everyone's desktop.

Eric Conveys and Emotion - A simple concept, you write in and request Eric to portray an emotion in a single picture. Some of these are hilarious and the requests get ever stranger.

Dean and Nigel - This is a bit mad. Basically it's a load of pictures of Dean and Nigel ripping the piss out of pensioners by imitating them. But! They don't do it behind their backs, rather they stand right next to them and "blend in".

Soda Constructor - This is an interesting diversion for 10 minutes or so. It revolves around an applet where you can move and pester little wireframe creatures. Sounds weird? Yeah it is but cool all the same.
