If you have or know of any great demos I should feature, or if any links don't work then please drop me a line. Also, a lot of these demos require the wpdml or ukccl skins in your baseq2/players directory so if you don't have them, get them here and here respectively.

Scandinavian Duel Tour
Season
1 Final - purri vs welkin
Season 2 Last
16 - provi vs dimmu
Two demos, one from the final of the first tour, a tight
contest between purri and welkin and the second is more of
a runaway win for provi against dimmu. Both are fantastic
examples of the standard of modern duelling and the skill
still to be found on the Scandinavian scene.
There are some great moments in both demos, but the second
is almost a modern day Thresh vs Billox but a lot more spectacular.
There's one good bit where provi actually dies and drops his
railgun on the top ledge outside the Megahealth room. Dimmu
is so desperate to get it first from the floor that he rj's
up and grabs it only for provi to get him with the super shotgun
as he'd had a good spawn. What impressed me most about provi,
though, was how calm he is under fire. He just casually sidesteps
rockets or ignores fire while taking up perfect aim. While
the second demo is action-packed and aggressive, the first
is more considered and strategic.
Good demos anyway, and if you want more then check out the
Scandinavian
Duel Tour site, or the skene.arenanet.fi
for the first season.

Clan Stealth vs Unreal -
Download
Not sure where I found this after all this time. This is
an old-school match from September 1999 between the two greatest
UK clans ever. It's not the HPB one, or the LPB already on
my site, but an LPB affair on The Edge and it's a very close
game indeed.
It also features possibly the two best ever HPB players,
Rob* and Bl0key and in the second half you get to watch from
Rob* point of view when he takes over from a struggling THE^BEAST.
Tasan, Luke, Flex and Blokey play for Unreal, and Rufus, Jubbers,
Tango and Rob* play for Clan Stealth.

Nogame vs Snow - Download
A duel on a map other than The Edge, this features some fantastic
map control by Nogame on ztn2dm3. Check out his 19th frag,
which is one of the best I've ever seen. If you don't have
the map get it here and
place it in baseq2/maps. Enjoy.

Sweden vs Finland
- Download
This one follows purri in one of the three matches from the
semi-final of the recent NDML in January 2003. It's an amazingly
close game and there's some wonderful play from purri as you
might expect.

Resistance vs Sweden
- Download
Here's a practice match between Resistance, the clan formed
from the merger of Clan Stealth and Aim Like Shit, and the
Swedish national squad with such players as Zephyr and purri.
It's a quality match and Resistance stage an amazing comeback
mid-game after a near annihilation at the start. The sense
of helplessness you get early on in the demo when shock is
being railed from nowhere is really palpable on this demo,
but his anticipation and railing skills really shine when
Resistance begin to pull things back.
Note: the demo is a bit jumpy in places unfortunately, but
fine to watch :).

Spawny Bastard &
Other CTF Classics - Download
Whilst doing some research for my Quake history update I
came across this old demo that used to be on my site back
in 1999 but which I lost. It's a nice recam by Spawny and
Fluffy of a single Flag Capture and runs to the Chemical Brother's
track Hey Boy Hey Girl. I've linked Savage's site rather than
the file itself so check out some of the other recams too.
The Fr1day Guide to CTF is already featured on this site but
if you haven't seen it, its well worth the download. Finally,
the 12Mb bYc demo by Che and Flight is another stunner and
one of the longest recams I've seen.

ECTV07 (Recam by {EC}Sinner)
- Download
Sinner has put together a really excellent recam here using
a whole range of tricky effects. Recamming takes a lot of
planning and you have to overcome loads of difficulties with
disappearing entities and other problems, but this is completely
seamless and very professional. The action features {EC}Zilla
on a FFA fest on The Frag Pipe. There's a lot of railing of
course including a couple of double rails and it all pumps
along to an old rock track, "Whatever happened to the
heros?" hehe. At the end you get a slow-mo recap of all
the best frags and Sinner also uses rewind mode to good effect,
which is something I hadn't seen before. Other effects include
the Matrixesque stop and pan and replays.
An excellent demo and one that took many hours to complete
so download and watch it through :). This is the seventh in
a series of recams from Sinner available on the Eldersclan
site.

REViLLA 250 Ping Railfest
- Download
There aren't many demos of me on this site (thank god you
may say), but after a good round on Claranet with a really
dire ping I decided to upload this effort. The Warehouse is
a great map for railing because there are so many long corridors
but I'm pleased with the number of rails I get with that ping.
It's only a few minutes long so take a look. Oh, and ignore
the major lag-out at the start :).

Unmatched vs Clan
Without Frags - Download
The second of three matches in the final of the Spring 2002
Clanbase Cup. Unmatched won all three games, and indeed all
their games in the entire competition to win. This is a great
match on Q2DM5, which makes a nice change from Q2DM1. There's
a lot of chopping and changing around the rail area and neither
U nor CwF
dominate the quad too excessively and this is a pretty even
match for the most part. The demo was on Unmatched's superb
clan site.

St0k3d Grenade Jumps
- Download
Not just another jump demo this, though it slyly pretends
to be at first before leaping into some very unusual and tricky
to accomplish grenade jumps. There are some real stunners
in there including a double grenade jump from the floor to
the hyperblaster and one from the hyperblaster right across
the arena. It's an entertaining demo and definitely something
a bit different. Thanks to St0k3d for the submission.

Tewls
FFA - Download
This is a very frantic FFA demo on Q3DM3, which, along with
Q2DM8 is my favourite FFA map. There are loads of opponents
and Tewls does rely on some quad whorage and also some lingering
sejours around the rail area ;), but there are some great
rails and all round free for all skills on show, and Tewls
never looks like losing to the runner up who's always catching,
catching, catching. Nice demo.

XXX
Warehouse - Download
No, not a pornographic demo, but one featuring an American
Lithium player, XXX[OCC]. It's been fully recammed by Loz
with a thrashing metal soundtrack that goes with the action
really well. XXX doesn't die once and keeps up the pace with
some amazing hook skills and mid-airs rockets. The recamming
must have been really difficult to do due to the sheer speed
that XXX picks up with his mad hook skills. Great demo from
Ozquake.

Germany vs Sweden
- Download
I've been out of it for a while so this may already be a
well known demo, but it's a worthy addition to this collection
with some amazing skills from all the players. It's from zyz's
point of view who scores some great rails and an amazing mid-air
rocket over the rail pool at the end. The match itself is
pretty close too and you don't know for sure who will win
until the last couple of minutes.
