| Luke vs Doomhammer (2 Mb) - Download Looking through my collection of demos (and I guess most people's) I've found that almost every one is The Edge. A notable exception being the immortal-Thresh match or Thresh-Mastakillah on Powertrip. Anyway, here's a duel on Tokay's Towers. It works really well and this is a really action-packed demo. Doomhammer dominates early but Luke fights and fights to try to get back in contention. There are some funny bits too, including the mid-air BFG shot and Doom's rail up the main elevator as Luke rides up. Cool demo. | 26 August 2001 [ 8.4 ] Duel Source: Eurogamer Hosted by: SavageDemos |

| Adrenaline Rush Demo (2 Mb) - Download This is a great recam featuring two members of Clan SAGE showing off their skills on ra2map25 so you'll obviously need RA2 installed. I think it was originally created as a showcase for the new map. The kicking soundtrack makes this demo all the better. To install simply unzip into your arena directory then double-click the ARDemo.bat file to run it. | 18 August 2001 [ 8.5 ] Recam Source: Cineplex Hosted by: SavageDemos |

| Meltdown's Jumps V2 (1.1 Mb) - Download I first featured Meltdown's jumps demo back in June but since then he's expanded on it and has also added a recam version with music track. There were loads of jumps I hadn't seen and an amazing jump to finish, jumping from the floor at the machinegun to the grenade launcher, without the super-rj trick. There's also a new twisting-style circle jump from the steps to the two health packs outside. Hard to describe but you'll see. All in all this is probably the best jump demo yet. By the way, the recam demo is in a pak file. Just copy the pak into your baseq2 and rename it to pak8 or pak7, whichever number you have free. Then simply start up and type "demomap meltrec.dm2". Easy. And another thing :), type "crosshair 0" before running the recam. | 11 August 2001 [ 9.0 ] Tricks Source: Meltdown Hosted by: Revilla |

| Memento Mori Showcase - 10 Demos Memento Mori will stand out in most players memories as one of the most terrifying clans ever :). The pure, clinical way that they dominated The Edge was stunning. Looking back now there's none of the slick trick jumps or speedy movement that you see nowadays, it's just pure aiming skill and the great teamwork that made them appear to be everywhere on the map at all times. Veterans will certainly have seen some of these but new players perhaps haven't because they're scattered all over the net. 10 demos is a lot so if you only download a couple get Scion's (the greatest ever railer imo) and the "7th" one. Finally, a couple of these games were part of the Euroquake tournament for which you'll need the Euroquake skins. You can also download the original MM skins here. | Wizards-vs-2.0 (1.1 Mb) - Download Thanks once again to Zipgun for providing another great demo. This time it's the Finnish "Sceneleague" final between two top clans, Wizards and 2.0. The match is pretty close and there are some great skills on show including [Wizard]iron giving a masterclass in how to use the SSG at the start with something like 10 kills. | 11 August 2001 [ 8.4 ] Team-DM Source: Zipgun Hosted by: SavageDemos |

| Nimrod - Grenades Only (555 Kb) - Download Many thanks to StarKiller/Lithium for providing this demo some time ago for the MKC Q2 site. I thought it deserved resurrecting here though for the pure comedy value of seeing ex-<HooD>Nimrod hit the frag limit using only grenades :). | 15 July 2001 [ 8.4 ] FFA Source: StarKiller Hosted by: Revilla |
 | [9]Psy-Crow vs [paw]Krummas (500 Kb) - Download This demo starts out with both players trying to establish control of the Red Armour on Reckless Abandon (match1). This leads to some very cagey play with Psy-Crow hiding in the Megahealth room quite a bit. Eventually he manages to displace Krummas and the action hots up quite a lot from then on ;). There are some funny moments including one where Psy-Crow is trapped in the MH room but manages to escape over the top while Krummas dies in the lava - presumably stunned by the sneaky escape. | 15 July 2001 [ 8.6 ] Duel Source: Unknown Hosted by: SavageDemos |

| Xanyon vs Purri Cheers to Zipgun for pointing me in the direction of these two, which are some very action packed duels on, where else, The Edge. The thing I like most is the aggressive style of both players throughout and purri's very effective use of the Super Shotgun on several occasions. | Unmatched Demos Just a couple ripped from their site. The first one is from mTw-Jo's pov and he gives a masterclass in holding the rail position on DM1, though he tails off towards the end as the victory is in the bag. Fantastic start though and nice weapon swaps at the beginning which give mTw the boost. The second demo is from [ALS]Para's pov who plays a great game. Tbh this looks more like a practice than a match and they all run around ffa style but there's some top quality on show. | Rv-vs-V Wireplay DM League (900 Kb) - Download This is an incredibly action-packed demo between two very evenly matched, and now dead, teams. This match was played at the end of 2000 in Division 1 of the Wireplay League and it's made all the more interesting for the use of the Quad Drop rule. This means that it's not enough to simply be first to the quad, you also have to get out of there alive :). Matches don't get much closer than this. | 13 April 2001 [ 8.8 ] Team-DM Source: Q2Central Hosted by: SavageDemos |
