15 July 2001 - Another Chance

What a cool single that is and it has a nutty video too with a woman wandering around New York city carrying a massive red heart that gradually gets smaller and smaller until her love is sparked once more and it turns into a monster one again :). Hardly ever buy singles these days always albums, think that was my first this year!

Anyway, I'm just making a quick update to say I've added another couple of demos to the Quake 2 demos section. Also, you're probably aware of the CPL qualifiers going on at the Playing Fields. Bit different this time because actual clans are competing rather than just duels. Quakenation is providing coverage so start there if you're interested. I've promoted the XTC site to a well-deserved Number 1 spot in my Clan Sites Chart. I'm sure Clan X will be inconsolable ;).

14 July 2001 - Great Frags

Just updating to let you know I've uploaded a couple of new Quake 2 demos, duels again but pretty slick ones. Find them in the Demos section.

Also, if you've got some downloading time I'd recommend getting two Quake 3 movies that are doing the rounds, namely gr8frags.avi, which is a very cool demo showing some excellent play from some top players like Fatality and Blue. It could be longer but the nice soundtrack makes it an excellent demo to watch. It also inspires you to go on a server and try some mid-air rox of your own ;). Download it here (24Mb).

The other demo in the same vein is one by a South African clan, charting their rise to fame. It's really just an excuse for a demo of some nice frags and skills but so what :). It's very entertaining and it also shows you the new Quake 3 railgun trails. Get it here (26Mb). You'll probably have it already but you need the DIV3 codec for both.
