3 April 2001 - Oblivion

Quick note just to point you in the direction of a new Quake 2 demo up on the demos page. It's a close and action-packed game between Revenge and Venom on The Frag Pipe. Great match. I still have a lot of demos in my personal archive and there are plenty more where that came from ;).

I'm a bit concerned about my current site of the week, Tranzmit, which still isn't available for some reason. It's a very popular site and I hope it hasn't gone under, because I was just getting into watching the amazing demos on there and giving my Geforce 2 GTS a decent test.

And finally, I've noticed that PR are casting aspersions about the objectivity of my clan site chart selection process, hehe :).

8 April 2001 - Colour

On the subject of crap design I decided to have a little spring clean and change some of the colours on the site and get rid of all the italics, which could be difficult to read. Now this background may appear to be black but if you look closely you'll see that it's actually very, very, very, very, VERY, dark blue :). Click refresh if the buttons look the wrong colour or anything.

7 April 2001 - Cheek

I've just been looking at my NedStat stats for this site and was checking out the "source of hits" page and there's a reference to someone typing "website with poorly design" and getting my site. Cheek! I followed the link and couldn't find the reference on www.goggle.com. It must be a trick somehow :). It's not too pretty I know, but it's functional, hehe :).

7 April 2001 - RA2 Demo

I've just uploaded a new demo, this time an RA2 match between HooD and, at the time, the best RA2 clan in the UK, The RailGunSuckaz (RGS). Class demo, go watch it.

7 April 2001 - Clan Sites Chart

This was an idea I had while maintaining MKC's site but I didn't put much effort into it at the time and just had a list of my personal top five sites. I've now expanded on the idea and have reviewed ten sites, which is hopefully just the beginning.

I will make an effort to review clan sites as I see them and add them to the chart. Also expect to see sites to move if they improve or even if they tail-off ;). Have a look at the chart and check out the winner's site :). Hope it doesn't get me any enemies, hehe.

I've also added a new Site of the Week, one mentioned in an earlier update but one that definitely deserves your attention.

I haven't played RA3 at all this week because of work and I've decided to put off buying Black and White until after my next set of exams, which are in May. I'll probably be on the servers far less because of this but then, that's what I planned last time. Hey, at least I know I'm weak-willed :).
